Position Summary:
The Assistant Warehouse Supervisor will be a working Assistant Supervisor, in many cases receiving, packing or shipping product as well as performing safety inspections.
The Assistant Supervisor will be responsible of helping Supervisor keep track of absences on their assigned shift.
The Assistant Supervisor’s main objective will be to Assist Supervisor in meeting all output goals while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
The Assistant Supervisor will help Supervisor with any assigned work-related task.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and motivate warehouse crew to ensure daily and weekly shipping demands are met, while keeping efficient, accurate and productive processing.
Coordinate daily shipping priorities with CSR dept.
Responsible for the processing of all mini major and special orders processed from Fifth Sun facility.
This includes confirming correct merchandise is pulled, staged, and ready for shipping in appropriate time frames.
Assist with Safety or compliance drills/audits
Active as Safety Captain in drill as well as real-life emergencies
Schedule all pickups from Chico facility and have accurate paperwork ready.
Maintain inventory and the ordering of shipping supplies.
This includes consolidating orders with production coordinators.
Help monitor shelf stock inventory along with production supervisor to maintain adequate inventory in order to fill independent customers’ orders.
Oversee returned shipments.
Ensure accurate information is given to CSR’s for follow up and timely resolve.
Conduct order selecting/packing audits as outlined
Responsible to maintain neat and clean warehouse, free of hazardous obstacles.
Responsible for planning and assigning Bin locations in order to maximize efficient selecting of orders.
Facilitate inventory physical counts on a quarterly basis and provide Production manager with results.
Keep an organized warehouse with complete knowledge of all staged product locations.
Maintain safety records for all audits, sampling and compliance.
Assist with safety training
Help onboard and assign trainings/ trainers to all new temps or FTE’s on shift
Hold employee’s responsible for following the Company’s Employee handbook and Injury and Illness Prevention Program
Ability to coach and guide underperforming employee through the company’s performance action guidelines
Notify HR and appropriate leaders of attendance call-ins
