*Flexibility to work Swing shift as needed!!*
*Summary: *To perform specialized work in both electrical maintenance and manufacturing equipment maintenance, with a focus on troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production electrical equipment.
Provide support with PLC, and electrical equipment control technical support for maintenance and operations team.
*Essential Functions:*
* Provide technical support for all PLC/electrical control systems.
* Troubleshoot, program, and maintain PLC’s.
* Serve as lead for all electrical/PLC tasks, projects, or other problems.
* Installs, repairs, overhauls, modifies and maintains electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery.
* Performs mechanical and electrical checks on motors, belts, and conveying systems.
* Performs diagnostics and determines root causes pertaining to malfunctions on electrical systems.
* Inspects designated buildings/electrical control systems to determine need for maintenance and repair.
* Detects malfunctions and creates and implements plans to resolve them.
* Handles troubleshooting and repairing systems across a broad spectrum of facilities.
* Performs routine, predictive, and preventative maintenance on equipment.
* Troubleshoots and resolves problems on equipment throughout facility.
* Completes work orders for both electrical maintenance & manufacturing maintenance.
* Performs other duties as required.
* Comply with all food safety and environmental health and safety requirements.
*Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* Knowledge of machinery operations.
* Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages.
* Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
* Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
* Must have knowledge and experience operating a Powered Industrial Truck (forklift).
* The ability to organize, prioritize and own multiple tasks while meeting and/or exceeding deadlines.
* The ability to learn and apply new technology, with the willingness to share knowledge with others.
* Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral/written instructions.
* Ability to communicate with others effectively.
* Understands basic electron theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC currents, single phase and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits.
Ability to read basic wiring diagrams.
Understanding of Ohms Law.
Ability to use multi-meters to read voltage, current and resistance values.
Must be able to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits.
* Ability to develop electrical/controls drawings/documentation.
* Ability to understand and utilize PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting.
* Ability to understand wiring schematics and diagrams for equipment.
* Understands basic heating and cooling cycle to include: identifying components in heating and cooling systems and understanding how each component works.
*Education and Experience:*
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred.
Education can be substituted for some required experience.
* Minimum of 5 years’ in electrical and mechanical maintenance of industrial equipment, including PLC/electrical experience, required.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferred.
* State of California Electrician Certification, required.
*Work Environment:*
* Lifting/Carrying: Able to lift, carry, and hold up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform repetitive motion.
* Stooping/Kneeling: Able to stoop and/or kneel to access equipment when needed.
* Reaching/Handling: Able to retrieve and work with appropriate equipment and supplies.
* Requires use of stairs, ladders, catwalks and walking on uneven surfaces.
* May require working at heights, at times with the use of fall protection.
* Requires working around confined spaces.
* Work area is in an environment with varied moderate temperatures and areas of excessive noise.
Position involves exposure to odors, dust, rice by-products, food grade chemicals, and mosquitoes.
* Requires use of provided PPE
* Involves indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather.
*Work Schedule:*
* Full time, 40 hour week
* Schedule may vary depending on needs of production.
* Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.
