*4 DAY WORK WEEK - 4/10 SCHEDULE!* *Flexibility to work Swing shift as needed!!* *Summary:*Responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department.
This includes managing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company's facilities and manufacturing assets.
Duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures.
Managing maintenance budget and resources and assisting in the design and installation of new systems.
This position is responsible for managing multiple shifts and direct reports.
*Essential Functions:* * Lead and manage organizational and procedural change.
* Coordinate and lead maintenance projects in various departments.
* Supervise maintenance personnel by providing direction and establishing priorities.
• Provide training and continuous development for maintenance personnel.
* Complete and deliver performance evaluations on direct reports at least annually.
• * Develop and maintaining quality of work standards.
* Develop and maintain associate safety standards.
• Work with department heads to insure maximum uptime and efficiency.
* Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work * Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
* Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
* Implement, interpret, and enforce workplace safety policies and standards within department in conjunction with Safety Manager.
* Communicate with staff & Operations Manager daily regarding schedule, key performance indicators (KPI), food safety, or safety issues.
* Supervisory responsibilities include monitoring employee performance.
This includes providing input on hiring; disciplinary actions; work objectives and their effectiveness and realigning the department as needed.
Also responsible for the development of both the leadership and technical group.
* Performs other duties as required * *Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* * Knowledge of machinery associated with milling operations and rice flow • * Excellent communication and coaching skills/ * Detail oriented and organized • Proficient computer skills in spreadsheets; data bases and word processing * Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products and processes * Self-motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skills • Strong knowledge in Maintenance and Reliability * Strong knowledge/experience managing maintenance using Autocad and Computerized • Maintenance Management System (Upkeep) or similar * Background in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HAACP), Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) * Must have a hands-on work ethic * Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
* Must have organizational skills.
* Must have basic reading, writing and math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
* *Education and Experience:* * Must be 18 years of age or older.
* High school diploma or GED equivalent.
* Four (4) years of maintenance operations management in a food manufacturing environment.
* Must have at least four (4) years millwright experience.
* Experience in rice milling preferred.
* Minimum of eight (8) years experience of industrial maintenance and mechanical maintenance including four (4) years supervisory experience *Work Environment:* * Lifting/Carrying: Able to lift, carry, and hold up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform repetitive motion.
* Stooping/Kneeling: Able to stoop and/or kneel to access equipment when needed.
* Reaching/Handling: Able to retrieve and work with appropriate equipment and supplies.
* Requires use of stairs, ladders, catwalks and walking on uneven surfaces.
* May require working at heights, at times with the use of fall protection.
* Requires working around confined spaces.
* Work area is in an environment with varied moderate temperatures and areas of excessive noise.
Position involves exposure to odors, dust, rice by-products, food grade chemicals, and mosquitoes.
* Requires use of provided PPE * Involves indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather.
*Work Schedule:* * Full time, 40 hour week * Schedule may vary depending on needs of production.
* Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.
00 - $120,000.
