We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager or Director for immediate hire.
This position has direct reports including designers and engineers of various levels and experience.
This position will be responsible for directly managing the team, including support, training, project management, and work assignments.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of leading a team to drive innovation, process improvements and R&D while bringing consistency to our process.
MTECH utilizes SolidWorks for computer-aided design, E2 for enterprise resource management, Mastercam for CNC tool pathing, as well as various other software applications.
This position will be directly responsible for leading the creation of support documents related to MTECH products, including work instructions, manuals, exploded drawings and other documents; reporting including labor hours, department costs and will work towards a budget.
This position will be directly responsible for managing the staff and timelines to meet our aggressive goals as well as our new product go to market timeline.
The ideal candidate is familiar with vehicle upfitting including vehicle electrical and suspension modifications, understands fabrication and experience with ERP and PDM software.
Minimum requirements include 5+ years of professional experience as an engineering manager, as well as a high proficiency with SolidWorks.
A proven track record of over-delivering on timelines, developing and being held accountable to department and project budgets.
This position is a salaried, M-F position with full benefits including vacation, holiday pay, retirement and bonus structure.

* Counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
* Maintain and optimize metrics relevant to efficiency, quality, costs, and other aspects of manufacturing design.
Adherence to timelines.
* Assist with the continuous improvement program through lean process improvement initiatives.
* Maintain a positive employee and labor relations environment, while properly motivating and directing the workforce.
* Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
* Be on hand to open and close facility daily.
* This position may perform other duties as needed.
*Recommended Skills* * Working knowledge of basic machine design elements including fasteners, pipe and pipe fittings, basic plumbing and an understanding of vehicle electronics.
