Title of Position: Sanitation Technician Supervisor
Immediate Supervisor: Department Manager
FLSA Non- Exempt
In Case of Absence: Department Manager will assign duties accordingly.
Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour DOE

Responsibilities:
Oversees daily production operations, coach and develop hourly employees, identify, and implement optimization projects.
Provide leadership that ensures all employees on shift can improve and sustain a zero-loss work culture that drives out injuries/incidents and ensures products are safe and meet quality requirements and specifications.
Manage all aspects of shift plant operation ensuring Safety, Quality, Service, Performance, and continuous improvement by engaging all employees in all Operation activities.
Key Duties:
• Communicate and define job roles and responsibilities for department staff.
• Meet and confer with department Manager and or the Production Schedular to assign work and ensure completion of product processing.
• Know and understand time keeping software.
Manage employee timecards, maintain staffing needs, and manage time off requests.
• Participates in safety and food safety activities including internal safety audits, HACCP team, internal audits, GMP audits, food defense team, food safety team and crisis management team.
• Conduct audits to ensure employees are performing tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Perform inventory checks and sampling.
• Ensure adherence to production schedule.
• Conduct employee meetings, supervise production workforce, and assist in employee conflict resolution.
• Demonstrate professionalism in verbal and written communication and in behavior.
Onboard and train all new employees in department procedures.
Confirm that they know and understand all equipment in the department.
Complete employee training manual within probationary period (90 days).
• Complete employee’s performance in a timely manner.
Encourage job well done and provide input in areas of deficiency, apply corrective action if warranted.
• It is the responsibility of the shift Supervisor to complete a timely and thorough investigation into all complaints and grievances communicated to them.
Upon completion of investigation, they will make a recommendation to the Department Manager as well as Human Resources and or Health and Safety Manager if it is warranted to close the loop on the incident.
• The Supervisor must work closely with quality control and Food Safety to ensure that all products being packed are within company specifications.
• Ensure that their employees are working safely, in respect to the human and food safety standards set forth by Andersen & Sons.
• They will be responsible for understanding the function of all the necessary equipment, with at minimum practical knowledge in operation.
• The Supervisor will be required to learn the computer software system.
How to start and complete production runs and all aspects of reconciling inventory for said production runs.
• Assigns specific duties to personnel, conduct investigations or research, write technical, informative, or operational reports, work on special projects, attend and conduct meetings as required.
• Review reports, papers, and other records prepared by personnel for clarity, completeness, accuracy, and conformance with company policies.
Route approved reports and records to appropriate personnel.
• Participates is safety activities including the safety committee.
• Spends a minimum of 50 percent of their time on the floor.
• Certified on a forklift and scissor lift and must comply with all safety regulations, lift safety and pedestrian safety.
• Must fill out pre- operation check list for forklift at the start of shift.
Forklift Operators must keep in constant contact with maintenance to ensure equipment is running at maximum capacity.
