Maintenance Manager
Snow Mountain, LLC is located in the spectacular Lassen Volcanic National Park in California.
As one of the country's oldest national parks, Lassen is consumed with gorgeous hiking trails, picturesque lakes that afford fishing and kayaking, and cabins and campgrounds for the those that want to experience the rustic feel of the beautiful outdoors!
Summary of Position:
Responsible for ensuring all goals and objectives of the Maintenance Department are achieved in a timely, cost-effective and quality-oriented manner.
Must be adept at managing budgets, leading and developing maintenance staff into a strong performing team and possess the ability to complete a variety of maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all maintenance team members are properly qualified and trained for their various assignments
Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment by following established inspection procedures
Must be capable of “hands on repairs” in most maintenance disciplines and be available to assist other maintenance staff with related tasks such as general painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, concrete, heating, welding, roofing and other related jobs including landscaping and care and maintenance of all restroom facilities.
Operate and maintain a computer-based planned preventative maintenance program for building equipment and maintenance and repairs scheduling.
Adhere to defined budgets and reporting processes
Participate in the recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of all Maintenance Associates and provide direct leadership, coaching and mentoring of the maintenance staff
Manage labor costs according to the labor schedules provided by the GM
Maintain professional image, including sanitation and cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards for all Maintenance Associates
Develop excellent relationships with external providers of maintenance services, such as electrical contractors, to ensure prompt, efficient support of all property maintenance needs
Communicate as necessary with GM and Corporate Director of Maintenance Operations on all property-related projects

Must be self motivated with the ability to perform with the highest professional and ethical standards
Must respond well to a changing work environment and able to perform at the highest level with minimal supervision
Must possess strong leadership and managerial skills that include the ability to coach, develop and clearly communicate expectations
Must have excellent analytical and problem resolution skills with the ability to proactively recommend solutions
Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
Must possess a valid driver license at time of application with a clean driving record
Proficiency with software to support office functions such as word processing, spreadsheets and email
Education and Experience:
Education: High school diploma or GED
College degree or technical/trade school
Experience: Minimum 3 (three) years successful management experience leading a Maintenance team
Minimum 5 (five) years of construction/maintenance experience
