_ *POSITION SUMMARY* Protect the casino assets and watch for liabilities.
Conducts and supervises training and development of surveillance staff by performing the following duties.
Oversee operational and technical functions of the Slot, \_\_\_\_ (add) departments in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and Internal Controls.
Provides an efficient operation that presents a fair and honest gaming experience for guests, as well as courteous and prompt service from all employees.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* 1.
Evaluates the daily operations of the casino for improprieties which may occur and takes appropriate actions to minimize any adverse effects.
2.
Maintains communication between surveillance and casino operations.
3.
Creates and passes along necessary reports to the Tribal Gaming Commission, California State Police, local law enforcement agencies, and Federal agencies and appropriate departments or persons.
4.
Interacts with law enforcement, district attorneys, federal agencies and other casino surveillance departments as needed.
Send information to other casinos using surveillance network as required.
5.
Instructs and evaluates surveillance employees on techniques and use of equipment.
6.
Ensures proper reports and logs are being complied with accurately by surveillance agents.
7.
Continuously monitors the surveillance department for changes and offers advice to the department manager on appropriate actions necessary to improve the overall operations of the department.
8.
Maintains open communication and works in conjunction with Tribal Gaming Commission, California State Police, local law enforcement agencies and other departments to ensure safety and integrity in the casino.
9.
Maintains a daily communication log for the use of department management.
10.
Must learn, comprehend, and comply with all company policies and procedures, Minimum Internal Control Standards or MICS, Gaming Regulations and Regulation 31 requirements.
11.
Develops and implements appropriate training plans.
12.
Evaluates, monitors and records student progress through statistical and subjective testing processes.
13.
Maintains records and tracks training hours for students.
14.
Discusses and assists management to assess training needs.
15.
Conducts on the job training to individual employees or groups of employees.
16.
Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
17.
Tests and surveys trainees and management to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
18.
Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
19.
Responsible for providing training to appropriate staff in counterfeit currency detection, scams, card counting, surveillance coverage, and other areas as instructed by the Surveillance Manager.
20.
Develop training manuals for agents and supervisors.
21.
Supervises Surveillance Monitors in the surveillance department.
Is responsible for the direction, coordination, and 22.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* 1.
Minimum of 21 years of age.

Valid California driver’s license.
3.
Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college of technical school or two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience 4.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete training on the following types of games conducted: Blackjack, Pai Gow, Texas Shoot-out, 3 card poker, Keno, bingo, Craps Roulette, Let It Ride, Seven Card Stud, Texas’ Hold-Em, Big Six Wheel, Sports Book, and VLT’S.

Requires demonstrated understanding, and hands-on experience with digital surveillance systems or LAN and WAN routers, switches, firewalls, and network protocols (TCP/IP, LDAP, SNMP, VPN, IPSec, etc.
).

In-depth knowledge of hardware platforms including storage, RAID, SAN and NAS technologies is desired.
Hands-on experience and knowledge of virtual environments is a plus.

The ability to be productive, with minimal training, is essential for success in most temporary assignments.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Must be able to work with positive and negative numbers.
