*Position Summary*
Oversee all milling production.
Hires, supervises, motivates, evaluates and supports the mill production staff.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Ensure a safe working environment for all mill employees.
· Monitor production and quality records for accuracy and compliance.
· Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts: reconciling with data storage system.
· Manage the staffing requirements for increased and/or decreased workloads.
· Organize workflow and supervise the production team to prioritize and produce jobs in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
· Ensures employee safety training is conducted as required by company policy.
· Responsible for implementing, maintaining and ensuring department compliance to the organization’s Quality Control and Quality Assurance/Food Safety programs and procedures.
· Ensure department staff is trained to the organization’s Quality Control and Quality Assurance/Food Safety programs and procedures.
· Maintain and provide leadership for employees through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
· Maintain time or payroll reports, as well as details of personnel actions, such as, hires, promotions, or disciplinary actions.
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
· Trained and compliant with organization’s Quality Control and Quality Assurance/Food Safety programs and procedures.
· Ensures department staff is trained and compliant to the organization’s personnel safety policy and procedures.
· Trained and compliant with organization’s Safety program.
· Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
*Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)*
· 2-5 years of experience in related field
· Safety Management
· Developing Standards
· Experience with rice milling equipment
· Knowledge of USDA Rice grading requirements
· Skills in inventory management, production scheduling and preventive maintenance
· Ability to lead and supervise
· Surveillance Skills
